Tea Party by Lou Farrell
I was making a cup of tea, and I don’t usually drink tea; I’m normally a coffee person, but my mind must have been elsewhere, and I put three sugars in by accident, and this sparked the poem. Enjoy.
A cup of tea for you and me How many sugars? Let’s have three. You see Dee, When I said free I lied a little it’ll cost 20p. Annoyed you be but you’ll see Sugars not cheap Doesn’t grow on a tree. She poured the tea for Elephant and Dee Monkey got his share and so did little flea.
